  • Accurately identify and discuss the correct plan with clients

  • Reduce errors in data entry and retrieval in the CRM system

What is a Plan Name?

A Plan Name is the official title given to a specific Medicare health insurance plan offered by a private insurance company.

Ex:

  • Aetna Medicare Eagle (PPO)

  • MyTruAdvantage Select Plus (HMO)

  • MyTruAdvantage Choice Plus (PPO)

 

What is a Plan ID?

A Plan ID is a unique identifier assigned to Medicare health plans and prescription drug plans.
Example: “H5521-286-0”

It typically consists of three main parts:

  • Contract Number: ex “H5521”
    • H: Managed Care Organizations other than Regional PPO
    • R: Regional preferred provider organization (PPO)
    • S: Stand-alone prescription drug plan (PDP)
  • Plan Benefit Package (PBP) Number: ex "286"
  • Segment Number: ex "0"
